Last night saw another good result in the GPVWC.com Atlantic Series. Roy Schroten drove to a superb 2nd place to give us vital points whilst Thomas Hinss unfortunately suffered a disconnect but still classified in the points! A really good strong result for the team.
Tonight then we turn our attention to touring cars for round 5 of the British Virtual Touring Car Championship! Ben Willis is looking to grab more points to improve from 5th in the independant teams standings. #gpvwc #bvtcc ... See MoreSee Less
**DRAIG RETURN TO THE ENDURANCE WORLD**
It is with great pleasure that we can today announce the Fanatec Draig Racing will be finally making its long awaited return to the endurance realm as the team is set to compete in the SimRacing.Club Virtual Le Mans Series! This marks the first foray back into endurance racing since the end of 2014, marking the end of a two year absence from the discipline. We have chosen to enter the LMP2 category with the Oreca 05-Nissan with number #139. Onto the drivers.....
First up is Roy Schroten. Roy has been our longest team member to date, competing for us in the endurance circuit back in 2014. He brings plenty of experience in this field as well as a burning passion to get back to endurance racing!
Next up is Greg Hall. A new face to the team but one not to be underestimated. Greg currently competes for DR Motorsport International in their #44 Oreca LMP2 entry at the Virtual Endurance Championship as they enter their second year in the respected class. Greg brings plenty of technical setup expertise as well as evident experience with the Oreca car.
Finally. completing the lineup is team manager Ben Willis. Ben is also no stranger to endurance, currently competing also for DR Motorsport International in their #12 LMP1 entry in the same championship as Greg. Ben also completed a full season in the Oreca in the previous VEC season.
Its an experienced and well paced lineup, showing the teams clear passion to succeed.
Pre season starts this weekend with a 2 hour race around Paul Ricard, but our preseason livery, painted as ever by the brilliant Douglas Hilliard (he tells me the full skin is on the way!), has already been spotted on track! #VLMS #Returntoenduro #Skinnotdoneyet #draig139 ... See MoreSee Less
